Adult ADHD assessments

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) describes persistent difficulties with inattention and/or hyperactivity and impulsivity. For some people, these differences can significantly impact on day-to-day life and this may lead you to seek a diagnostic assessment.

I offer Adult ADHD assessments, conducted by video call or in person in Leicestershire. These assessments are available to adults aged 17+, and comprise of validated measures and established assessment tools.

An initial screening appointment can be conducted if wanted to determine whether a full diagnostic assessment is required and costs £150. This involves the completion of two validated questionnaires and a brief clinical interview, lasting approximately 1 hour. At the end of this appointment, we can decide together whether to pursue a full diagnostic assessment.

An ADHD assessment at Dr Compton-Smith Psychology costs £700 and comprises of a comprehensive clinical interview as well as the completion of several validated questionnaires. Information will also be gathered from someone who knows you well, with your permission. Dr Compton-Smith will review all of the information gathered and will provide feedback at the end of the assessment regarding the diagnostic outcome. A comprehensive assessment report will be sent to you following the assessment, as well as a brief letter confirming the diagnosis (if given).
